At Koops, our interns are more than just students — they’re vital contributors to our team. As an engineering intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience working with cutting-edge automation systems while applying your classroom knowledge in real-world projects. Interns are embedded into project teams, where they contribute meaningful work, interact with customers, and help us continually improve as both a machine builder and a workplace.

Internship Opportunities
Depending on your interests and Koops’ availability, you may be placed in one of the following areas:

Controls Engineering

  • Controls design

  • PLC programming

  • Robot programming

  • Customer visits

  • Troubleshooting

Project Engineering

  • Machine debug

  • Machine prove-out

  • Customer interaction

Mechanical Engineering

  • Machine design

  • SolidWorks modeling

  • Mechanical power transmission

  • Fluid power systems

Requirements

  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in an engineering program

  • Completion of at least sophomore year by the start of the internship
